It's always an honor when a friend selects me to do their wedding. I met Kimberly Hannah at the Junior League of Tampa. I was so blessed when she was assigned to my committee last year. She is not only beautiful, but smart and thoughtful. So when she became engaged and approached me to do the flowers for her wedding I was so happy for her and ecstatic to have the opportunity to create a floral design for her.
Her theme was updated romance with a slight nod to rustic. Her venue, the Oxford Exchange, was a dream location to bring this theme to life. We kept the color palette neutral with whites, ivorys, and greens. We brought in some of the rustic with the burlap runners and adding the snapdragons and curly willow to all of the floral pieces. And we updated the romantic garden roses, hydrangea, and freesia by creating multi-layered centerpieces with lots of glassware. And we created an elegant atmosphere by adding the thinner shimmering top runner and gold dust votives. Aaron Bornfleth captured the details so beautifully in his photography. It was truly a special design for a great friend.
